What I do

Four things, done properly, for businesses around Asheboro.

New websites

A site that loads fast, reads well on a phone, and tells people what you do. Yours to keep.

Website care

Hosting, backups, updates and edits handled every month, so it never goes stale or goes down.

Getting found on Google

Your customers search before they call. I set your business up so they find you, not a competitor two towns over.

Piedmont Comfort Heating and Air concept site shown on a phone

Shown at phone width

Concept design

Piedmont Comfort Heating & Air, Asheboro

An HVAC site built around the calls that actually come in: emergency service when the heat quits, quotes for a full system replacement, financing terms spelled out before anyone asks, and seasonal tune-up scheduling. The call button stays reachable in one tap, whether the customer is standing in the driveway or you are reading it from a roof or a crawlspace.

Concept design

Carter Street Auto, Asheboro

An independent repair shop, built around the two reasons people call: something is wrong today, or they are price-shopping a routine job against the dealer. Written estimates, photos of what was found, and NC inspection details all sit above the fold.

How it works

  1. Step one

    Free consultation

We talk about your business and what the site needs to do.

  2. Step two

In writing, with what is included. No surprises later.

  3. Step three

    Build and review

You see it and ask for changes before anything goes live.

  4. Step four

    Launch and support

It goes live, and I keep it running on a care plan.

About

I’m James, and I build software out of Asheboro.

I’ve spent years as a developer, and I started The Digital Finch because too many good local businesses are stuck with a website that’s five years out of date — or don’t have one at all. That’s where most of my work starts, and I take it seriously: your site is how people decide whether to call you.

But websites aren’t the only thing I build. If the thing slowing you down is scheduling, quoting, chasing paperwork, or a spreadsheet three people are fighting over, that’s a software problem, and it’s the kind I’ve spent my career solving. Ask me about it.

Either way, you’ll deal with me directly, start to finish.

Common questions

How much does a website cost?

Most small business sites start at $1,800 for up to five pages. A larger site with full local SEO is $3,400. You get a fixed price in writing before any work starts.

How long does it take?

Two to three weeks for a Foundation build, three to four for Growth, counted from when you send me your content. The consultation and quote happen within a couple of days of you getting in touch.

Do I own my website?

Yes. The domain, the hosting account and the files are yours. If you ever want to move on, you take everything with you and I will help with the handover.

What if I already have a website?

I will look at what you have and tell you honestly whether it needs rebuilding or just fixing and keeping up to date. Sometimes the cheaper answer is the right one.

Do you work with businesses outside Asheboro?

Yes — Archdale, Randleman, Trinity, Franklinville, Seagrove, and the greater Triad including Winston-Salem, Greensboro and High Point. Most of the work happens by phone and email either way.

What happens after the site launches?

A care plan keeps it hosted, backed up, updated and monitored, and covers your content edits. Plans start at $95 a month. You are never locked in.
